LOCAL TESTER ACHIEVES ISTQB CERTIFICATION FIRST

Brian Osman, Knowledge Engineer at Software Education, has become the first person in Australasia to gain the full suite of International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) advanced certifications.

Already Advanced Test Manager and Advanced Test Analyst certified, Osman has now achieved ISTQB Certified Tester, Advanced Level - Technical Test Analyst (CTAL-TTA) certification, making him an ISTQB Certified Tester, Full Advanced Level Test Professional.

CTAL-TTA certification only became available locally in October, with Osman being awarded certificate number ATTA00001, issued by the Australia and New Zealand Testing Board (ANZTB).

In contrast to other certifications offered by the ISTQB/ANZTB, this advanced level certification covers the testing of technical requirements in detail - an aspect of testing which many find particularly challenging.

Martyn Jones, Managing Director of Software Education, says of Osman:

“Brian is a talented testing professional.  While certification certainly isn't the only measure of his considerable talent, it is certainly a terrific achievement. By formalising and adding more depth to his existing testing skills, Brian will be in more demand than ever with Software Education's customers.”
