Brian Osman

Brian provides training and consultancy in software testing for Software Education. Brian brings over 7 years of software testing experience (as well as over 16 years of IT experience) to the training courses he delivers for Software Education, and the consultancy services he offers to Software Education customers.

Brian has worked in a variety of industries; from a number of government departments - both national and local - right through to the financial industry and software development organisations.

His diverse projects have given Brian access to a tremendous variety of software testing methodologies and tools, and in addition have given him the opportunity to successfully engage a variety of groups - from Test Analysts to General Managers to Senior Public Sector Managers.

Brian holds ISTQB Foundation Software Tester Certification, as well as ISTQB Advanced Test Manager and ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst certications, and in 2010 Brian gained the ISTQB Advanced Level Technical Test Analyst certification, making him the first person in Australasia to gain the full suite of ISTQB advanced certifications. Brian is also a member of the Association of Software Testing.

Brian is a popular conference speaker, most recently at STANZ and ANZTB 2010, as well as being a regular TPN speaker.

In his spare time, Brian enjoys basketball and blogging - he has even been known to mix the two!
